Some Changes and Improvements

Welcome to another Dodge Radio Blog, your chance to take a look at what we have planned to keep you our listener coming back and asking for more.

Strong Language

Dodge Radio strives to cater for everyone, weather you’re someone that enjoys country music or even Hip-hop music we play it all. In this day and age, more and more music contains strong language or references to some topics not suitable for some listeners. Due to this, we have introduced a water shed meaning that all Strong Worded Content will be removed from all day time playlists. Please Note, due to the large amount of content in our Library it is virtually impossible to edit, or remove all Content without down time. So you may find some music with Strong Language during the day. The Water Shed mentioned above is now in effect. All Strong Worded Content will not be played before 8PM UK Time that is 3PM Eastern time.  During any shows after this time or even in automation you will receive a warning of any Strong Worded Content that may be played.

Schedule changes

Due to some unavoidable commitments some of are week day shows are being moved around slightly.  Please Note you can see the full schedule at a time that suits you from then click Schedule. Join Bonnie, Spotty, Heidi and Jonathan for the Macmillan Cancer Support Explodeathon! #MosenOnAir

This week, the Mosen Explosion is raising money for a great cause. There’d be few of us who haven’t had our lives touched in some way by cancer. Not only does it change the lives of those affected directly, it places enormous stress on the families and friends of those affected.

In the UK, Macmillan Cancer Support is there for cancer patients and their loved ones, providing a range of practical support and advice.

Over the last week, one of our wonderful affiliates, Top Tunes FM, has been broadcasting special programming to raise funds for this charity, and they’ve already raised around 2,000 pounds. The Mosen Explosion is delighted to be a part of this effort, with a special Explodeathon show this weekend.

Heidi, Bonnie, Anthony and I will be in the studio for four hours of very unpredictable nonsense designed to open your hearts and even more importantly, your wallets. Imagine how much good we could do if you contributed even the cost of a couple of cups of coffee or a couple of smartphone apps. Even if you’re not in the UK, it’s a very small world. You may eventually help someone you know, and even if not, it feels good to do good, so we’re sure our large international audience will get into the spirit of this event and give generously.

Throughout the show, you’ll be given the opportunity to donate to see our wacky crew fulfil certain challenges. Already, an absolutely horrible, hideous, unspeakably bad challenge has been set for me by the mischievous Bonnie, and I can tell you right now, it will take a lot of donating to persuade me to take that one on.

So I hope you’ll join us for what promises to be a really lively, unusual and fun show, but most important of all, a show that will help people going through a dark time in their lives.

It all begins at 2 PM Eastern, 7 PM in the UK. We’ll provide you with all the details of how to donate, oh and for your trouble, you may even win a prize or two.

It’s the Explodeathon, in support of Macmillan Cancer support. We hope very much to have you with us.

Whack! It’s Fifty Shades of Explosion!

Once again, little flowers, it is time for another Mosen Explosion, the show that makes you grateful that there are another 164 hours each week!
Last week on the show, we got to talking about the fact that not only is there soon to be a “Fifty Shades of Grey” movie, but there’s going to be a musical as well! Confounding! Astounding!
In case you haven’t heard about this blockbuster trilogy of books, “Fifty Shades of Grey” is about a sweet little innocent girl who becomes the lover of a guy who’s into the bonds, and know I’m not talking finances here! Writing the trilogy clearly took a lot of discipline.
Last week we had a few people who came up with great suggestions for existing songs that you could use in a “Fifty Shades of Grey” musical. But we were doing other things last week so we didn’t follow up too much. But this week, ah, this week my cuddly creatures, we’re going to ask you to nominate songs that would be just right for a “Fifty Shades” musical.
We have some cool wacky news, a look back at quite a busy day in history, the Bonnie Bulletin with, funnily enough, Bonnie, and much more.
We love it when you thrash the power button of your computer or smartphone, hit those keys very very hard, and punch up the Mosen Explosion. So do join me at 7 PM in the UK, 2 PM Eastern, 6 AM in New Zealand, when we’ll whip it into shape. All the shady places you can listen are detailed on our affiliates page at the Mosen Channel, It would hurt if you couldn’t make it.

The Mosen Explosion, Rocking the Big Beatle Anniversaries #MosenOnAir

It’s a very special edition of the jolly old Mosen Explosion this week, as we celebrate too magnitudenous events in Beatles history simultaneously, concurrently, and at the same time as well.

57 years ago, which coincidentally was in 1957, John Lennon met Paul McCartney, beginning the greatest partnership in the history of music. Just seven short years later, a half century ago, their movie, “A Hard Day’s Night”, premiered in London. The incredible soundtrack to the album was released just days later.
During the show, we’ll be playing selections from “A Hard Day’s Night”, and hearing the Beatles talk about the making of the movie and the album. It’s an album where Lennon and McCartney were really beginning to shine as song writers, and it’s the first Beatles album where they composed all the songs.
After the Mosen Explosion. on the Mosen Channel, we have extended programming to mark these two important Beatle moments. At 6 Eastern, 11 UK, the Mosen Channel will bring you an audio described version of the movie “A Hard Day’s Night” in its entirety.
Immediately at the conclusion of the movie, at about 7:20 Eastern, we’ll hear an hour-long documentary called “The Day John Met Paul” which looks at that historic day, 6 July 1957. So all up, we have over six hours of programming you won’t want to miss.
It’s quite fascinating and serendipitous, serendipitous I tell you, how sometimes the wacky news gets a theme. This week, we have a number of stories about items long given up for lost, returned to their owners after a long time. Funny that.
It’s a very busy day in the history books and we’ve got the scoop, and a lot of music to go with the scoop.
The beautiful Bonnie is back with a bouncy Bonnie Bulletin, and of course we have plenty of your interaction and requests, which really makes the time fly by.
I hope you’ll join me at 2 PM Eastern, 7 PM in the UK, for another fun Mosen Explosion. Details of how and where to listen can be found on the Mosen Channel at Be sure to check out the Affiliates Page for heaps of great programming on the stations that carry the show.

We’re Exploding Again at 7 PM in the UK, 2 PM Eastern, 6 AM in NZ. #MosenOnAir

It seems like only a week since I last told you that we’d be exploding again. Wow. And you know why? Do you know why it seems like it’s only a week since I last told you we’d be exploding again? Well, that’s because, it actually was only a week since I last told you we’d be exploding again. Which just goes to show that…that…a week has gone by since I last told you we’d be exploding again.

Since this show was rebranded the Mosen Explosion in 2002, we’ve started it with a piece of music produced by the talented, wonderful, humorous Greg Brayton. Those of you who were listening to me back in the ACB Radio days may remember Greg. Sadly, he died earlier this week. We’ll take a little time to remember him on the show.
There are a few cool birthdays we could celebrate, but the one I’ve decided to feature is Peter Asher, brother of Jane and half of the British pop duo Peter and Gordon. They did some fun tunes, they did.
We have quite a few wacky news stories from Arizona this week. What does that say, eh?
We go back in history, and the Bonnie Bulletin is back as well.
But what we look forward to the mostest, is your emails and tweets that make the show so fun and entertaining. So feel free to fire up that hashtag and join in the fun, all starting at 7 PM in the Kingdom of U, 2 PM Eastern. Check out the growing list of the affiliates of awesome, or listen directly, all over on the Mosen Channel.
